Songs That Helped.
I’m going to start posting these more often, sorry guys. You know I be going through my motions.
This song has been one that more recently has helped get me through some tough days. It’s something I believe with every fiber of my being. The world needs more love. It’s not just me who needs it, it’s everyone. And blogging has really made that clear to me. I have been really quiet on here for the last couple of weeks because I have been depressed (duh, you know that’s the theme here) but the more I’ve opened up about it, the more support I received which has brought me back up to my *higher* self.
I enjoy being here, being the me that I can be proud of. And that was all thanks to the love I recieved. I came to the conclusion that a major key in solving my depression is people. How funny, being that people are exactly who I avoid when I’m feeling depressed. But the more I let people in, the more I come out. The more I’m happy to be who I am, flaws and all. The more I see that I’m not alone and the more I want to figure this out, so I can be more helpful to others because like I said, we all need love.
I know that this isn’t the original but I just love this version so much.
Lyrics:
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No not just for some, but for everyone
Lord, we don’t need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last ’til the end of time
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone
Lord, we don’t need another meadow
There are cornfields and wheatfields enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh listen, Lord, if you want to know
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, oh, but just for every, every, everyone
